On Saturday 19th July from 10.30am to 2pm pop along to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Colchester Rd, Weeley CO16 9JP (adjacent to Weeley Crematorium) where they will be hosting a Genealogy Discover Day for any resident. There is Free Parking and Refreshments are provided so why not pop down and find out what Genealogy is all about and start the journey of discoveing more about your heritage.

Weeley Parish Council will be holding it's monthly meeting in Weeley Village Hall on Monday 21st July at 7.30pm. All residents and members of the press are cordially invited.

The Festival of Essex Archaeology and Heritage 2025 which is happening next Thursday at Cressing Temple Barns. This event is being run by Place Services and Explore Essex at ECC. It is a free event intended to inform people about the heritage of Essex and make them aware of opportunities to get involved if they would like to. There will be exhibitions from borough museums, local heritage societies, and archaeological contractors displaying finds from excavations across the county, among others. There will also be children’s activities such as a scavenger hunt, sandbox metal detecting, and puzzles.
