ALL RESIDENTS OF WEELEY - EXTREMELY IMPORTANT CONSULTATION
The Government have today launched the statutory public consultation into the proposed ‘Greater Essex Mayoral County Combined Authority’. Everyone is encouraged to respond.

The consultation refers to ‘Mayoral Combined County Authority’ because that is the technical name of the body being created, but it will be the strategic authority for Greater Essex as set out in the white paper. In Greater Essex the two terms can be used interchangeably.

Obviously that briefing was held before we had seen the consultation and there are further details about the proposed membership of the authority etc in part 2 of the consultation document. We are exploring the demand for a further briefing session for members, to update people about the consultation.
The consultation remains open until 13 April 2025.
